Ben and Erin Napier are two of the most lovable hosts on television. From the way they interact with each other to the way they support each family’s dream renovation project, we’re constantly in awe of the incredible (and creative) people that they are. As much as we love what they bring to their shows, we love the way they embrace family life—and their daughter Helen—even more.

So often, celebrities get sucked into the Hollywood bubble the moment they step on set, leaving their and their child’s privacy in the past. Not Ben and Erin, though. Despite being world-renowned television hosts, the parents have chosen to keep Helen’s face mostly concealed in all their photos and posts, for they feel it’s their duty to protect her likeness.

Of course, it’s not just their dedication to her image that we applaud about their parenting. It’s their truly precious relationship with her as a whole. From Ben playing Beauty and the Beast with her and Erin creating custom coloring books of her favorite characters, to Ben rushing to her rescue anytime he hears her call his name and the trio’s adorable family “handshake”, there’s so much to learn from how Ben and Erin approach parenthood.

While some of the moments they share of Helen are more so examples of just how adorable she is, others are a testament to the type of parents they are. Whether it’s Ben posting about getting his dream girls 13 years apart (pass the tissues, because we’re tearing up!) or Erin admitting that just because you’re a big burly man (like 6-foot-6-inch Ben) doesn’t mean you can’t be the softest, sweetest father and man, the duo continues to use their platforms to show just how beneficial it is to create an environment filled with love for and faith in each other.

Ben admits that Helen is Erin’s Mini Me.

As much as Ben adores being Helen’s daddy, he’s well aware that she’s Erin’s mini me—because she tells him every day, apparently!

They teach Helen to have faith in them.

What’s more illustrative of faith than telling your baby that they can jump off a half-pipe and you’ll catch them—no ifs, ands, or buts? Exactly.

They always make time for each other.

Daily life can be exhausting. But just because you’re tired doesn’t mean you don’t have to show up for your child. Ben proves this day in and day out and it’s one of things Erin admires about him.

They want to give Helen the world.

After witnessing Helen’s fascination with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Ben shared that it’s now his life goal to take Helen in person one year. But, he’s the first to admit that even just getting to sit next to her and watch her eyes light up at the screen is a blessing in and of itself.

They have a home based in gratitude.

Erin knows that there are “some very good men” in this world—and she’s ever-so-grateful that one of them is hers and Helen’s.
