Commissioned Photographer
Christina Hall is a force to be reckoned with. From her strong personality and perpetually positive outlook to her real estate and remodeling prowess and put-together appearance, there’s so much to admire about the HGTV host. Of course, those are all things that can be witnessed from watching a single episode of Flip or Flop or Christina on the Coast. When you dig even deeper, though, Christina’s admirable qualities — including her openness and resiliency — only grow. On that note, keep reading to learn 10 things you might not have known about the blonde bombshell taking HGTV and Instagram by storm.
She Loves to Wear All Black
If you scroll through Christina’s Instagram or see her out in real life, chances are she’ll be donning a head-to-toe black outfit. After all, her favorite attire is black-on-black, which she refers to as “Johnny Cash Vibes.”
She Loves Makeup
While Christina is famous for her hosting on HGTV, she’s also well-known on Instagram for her professional-quality makeup skills. She’s paired up with Pink Dust Cosmetics a number of times to share her favorite looks and go-to products. In the clip below, you can check out her everyday makeup routine.
She Wanted to be a Sports Agent
Christina is known to keep it very real on Instagram. In a September 2020 post following her separation from Ant, she revealed that she never dreamed of being on TV — she wanted to be a sports agent like Jerry Maguire. While working on TV and with homes was never her goal, she admits that she grew up loving to look at homes with her parents so, in a way, she’s come full circle.
She Has Her Own Furniture Line
In July 2020, Christina excitedly announced her collaboration with Spectra Home Furniture, which launched in October of that same year. The 38-piece California Modern collection includes sofas, loveseats, tables and chairs, all of which are considered affordable despite their luxe appearance.
She Has a Maya Angelou Tattoo
Christina is the first to admit that she’s faced hardship. But even on the grayest days, she remembers her power and persistence to rise up. With that in mind, it’s only fitting that in January 2021 she revealed Maya Angelou’s words, “Still I Rise” tattooed in sprawling cursive along her spine.
She’s an Author
Along with being a TV host, mother, daughter, friend and makeup lover, Christina is also an author. In 2020, she and nutritionist Cara Clark released The Wellness Remodel: A Guide to Rebooting How You Eat, Move, and Feed Your Soul. The book details Christina’s health struggles, including developing an autoimmune disease and struggling with infertility, which, until its release, she had kept largely hidden from the public eye. Beyond her own story, Christina and Cara share tips and recipes to bring balance into your life.
She Prioritizes Herself
Last but not least, Christina is the queen of keeping it real and creating boundaries. With these strengths at her core, Christina has taken on a new stance of prioritizing herself — not in a selfish way, but a self-sustaining way; a way that supports and celebrates her health and happiness.
