This week’s episode of Unsellable Houses might just be one of the most emotional and touching yet. (If you missed it, you can stream it on Max — just look for the Season 4 episode titled Curbalicious.)

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) — which takes place every year in September — sisters and HGTV hosts Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis added a special project to their agenda for an extra-special reason.

Miles' Story

When Lyndsay's only son, Miles Lamb, was 7 years old, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and was treated at Seattle Children's Hospital. “They took such good care of both him and our family,” Lyndsay says. Now, after enduring such a difficult time, she and Leslie take up any opportunity to give back to the hospital.

This year, the real-estate duo raffled off a customized playhouse — designed by them, of course. The fundraiser took place at a Snohomish High School Thursday night football game. During the tailgate event, local kids submitted drawings of their dream playhouses. At halftime, Betsy Rand, the Seattle Children’s Hospital director of development and membership programs and a key player in the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program, randomly selected one drawing from a thick stack. Naia, a family friend of the twins and a former patient of Seattle Children’s herself, was named the winner. Lyndsay and Leslie felt like it was meant to be.

At the end of the episode, the twins delivered Naia’s playhouse (which Naia dreamed up to match her parents’ house) and threw her and some friends a pizza party. They also revealed how much money they raised at the tailgate: a whopping $28,000 — all of which goes to Seattle Children's Hospital.
