HGTV's House Hunters has now entered its 243rd (!) season, and there are still surprises in store this fall and winter for the network’s longest-running show. In the coming months, the series — which first aired in 1999 and has since become an iconic part of the zeitgeist — will boast unexpected collaborations and a fun twist on Saturday night reruns. We gleaned some 411 from Dan Kilkenny, an associate producer on House Hunters.

A Look Back

The simple, behind-the-scenes format of House Hunters has kept viewers watching, so of course the new episodes will follow the usual storyline: Prospective homeowners view three different houses, share a strong difference of opinion, fret over the budget, and finally decide which home best ticks the most boxes before living happily ever after. (OK, the last part is the only unknown.)

What to Expect

HGTV Star Hosts

Starting October 11, we'll see HGTV talent from other popular shows appear on our televisions to host new episodes of House Hunters. First up, Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas from Bargain Block will introduce the Tiny House Hunters marathons on Wednesdays until November 1.

“It's a look at some really funny stories — all while Keith and Evan are sitting inside of a tiny home themselves,” says Dan. “And neither of them can really fit comfortably in them at all.”

Also, Jasmine Roth of Help! I Wrecked My House will be hosting episodes of House Hunters fixer-uppers November 8 through November 29 on Wednesday nights. “She’s going to be in an active construction zone walking us through stories of people looking for a fixer-upper,” says Dan. “There will be a lot of instances where one partner wants a fixer-upper and the other doesn’t want to deal with the renovations. Jasmine will lead us along as we sit back and watch these funny stories."

Theme Nights

Producers have your weekend plans covered for the foreseeable future. Each theme-night marathon — featuring our favorite House Hunters reruns will air on Saturday nights at 8|7c through 12|11c (and will be available to stream on Max) unless otherwise noted.

The first marathon will kick off on Thanksgiving day with family-themed episodes. Next up: sports. As an ode to this year's Super Bowl location, all episodes on Saturday, February 2, will feature Las Vegas properties. On February 10, the day before the Super Bowl, fans can look forward to binging properties from the final teams’ cities.

The fun doesn’t end with football season. Basketball fans can enjoy a marathon featuring Indianapolis properties the day before the NBA All-Star Game on February 17, then again on March 16 for March Madness, featuring basketball players and fans. The theme finale will wrap on Saturday, April 6, airing Phoenix episodes from 12|11c through 6|5c in the lead-up to the big game on April 8 in Glendale, Arizona.

All episodes will be available on HGTV starting at 8|7c.
